Hello, I’m Jade. Thank you for taking the time to come view my work & learn more about my life as an artist.

My passion for education & the arts lead me to earn a BFA in illustration from Pacific Northwest College of Art & an MAE from Pacific University. 

My desire to create basically began as soon as I could hold a crayon. Making art just felt so comforting & natural. When I won an award for my art in the 3rd grade, I was hooked. I knew I was going to devote my life to being an artist. It gave me, a very timid kid, a voice & strong sense of self. My eyes were opened to how powerful art could be. How art could connect us & speak for us in ways words couldn’t.

I’ve worked in the industry using my skills as an illustrator, photographer, art director, brand ambassador & model for over two decades. I hope to never stop growing & evolving as an artist & am always looking for new opportunities to challenge & inspire my work.

I’m drawn to working in traditional media: colored pencil, gouache & ink. I seek to bring bold lines, vibrant color & whimsical touch to everything I make. I enjoy working on a variety of subject matters, particularly portraiture, as well as food & scenic storytelling. 

I love gouache, cold brew coffee, the smell of ocean air, various hues of green, and advocating for mental health & animals of all shapes & sizes.

I’m native to the PNW & live with my best friend & partner of 16 years, our enchanting toddler & two troublemaking cats.
